Poppies
Poppies can come in many different colours, which can mean something. They flourish in a dry, warm climate. You should plant them in the Summer, and choose a spot with full sun.
Red poppies are a memorial to World War One. A purple poppy is to remember animal victims of the War. A black poppy remembers African and Caribbean contributions to the War. A white poppy remembers people who died in conflict to end the War.
